MANDA OCEAN CAMP

Our base camp acts as our Kenyan headquarter and is the save heaven for people who want to leave negative behind and live a life driven by purpose and impact by serving those in need.

Help us in collecting funds to build a main house, a stable for chicken, goats, cows and of course our beloved pundas the Somali donkeys.
We aim to have two houses for constant rent and giving needed shelter for our global impactivists who join us for 2-3 months stays on changing projects.

MANDA WATER PROJECT

Our goal is to enable our Manda community and all the local people roughly 3000 to live a sustainable impact neutral life.

To achieve this we are partnering with African GreenTec and Elemental Water makers the pioneers in clean energy and desalination technology to build a highly resource efficient seawater desalination plant powered by the African GreenTec ImpactSite.

This project is key in our efforts to helps costal communities across Africa to get access to energy, fresh water and internet and help them live a healthier and better life.

We address many of the sustainability development goals (SDG) targets and allow trough our projects to offset significant amounts of carbon by not using expensive diesel generators to do the desalination process.

SAVE SIYU

Water scarcity to the villages in Lamu East have been a decade old problem. They usually depend on rain water harvesting, storing the water in traditional underground water tanks known as Djabia. For years the villages on Pate and Siyu would come over to Lamu island by big boats and take the already scares and overused water from the Lamu dunes.

Lamu county government puts an effort in finding a solution for the recurring water scarcity by allocating budget for water projects in Lamu East. Faza and Siyu civilians are mostly fishermen and livestock keeping. The projects for both Faza & Siyu villages consists of construction of Steel Elevated Tank 24M high, construction of 50M3 sump tank and pipeline construction for household connections. A desalination is installed by Kenya Red cross at Faza where water will be desalinated and distributed to the villagers.

We aim to ensure that we convince the Lamu Goverment to use the latest desalination technology and ensure we can generate the needed energy trough Solar Power plant. We are looking forward to work with the local people to find the best solution in this situation.
